The Moon and Star Watermelon, depicts the scene when Alice eats the cakes that make her either big or small, but instead of cakes, I used moon and star watermelon that grew on my family’s farm.

Waves, demonstrates the tumultuous times as she experiences in the tale, just as the ocean is tumultuous is Santa Cruz.

Growth, depicts her how she grows throughout the story, just as redwood trees grow in Santa Cruz.
